Sacred Botanical Experiments introduces Ahmad, an inquisitive apothecary, who has traveled far and wide to gather plants mentioned in the Qur’an. On his shelf, he’s finally able to put his medical knowledge to work - mixing, arranging, and experimenting with each one, delighting in the process. His world is an apothecary’s interpretation of these sacred botanicals, expressed through process, materials, and quiet curiosity.

On his shelf sit bottles, tinctures, labelled jars, pressed fragments, pigments, oils, and tools. Each vessel hints at a Qur’anic botanical: the depth of olives, the sweetness of figs and dates, the sharpness of garlic and onion, the brightness of pomegranate and cucumber.
